Welcome to a day-in-the-life of Playa de Bayahibé, Dominican Republic. The island is full of brightly colored houses, boats and people. My affinity for the humble and cheerful colors of the culture there comes through… Simple and specific are shown in tightly cropped images.
Using natural light, I photographed people and places just as they were found. Smudged borders add to the imperfect beauty.
