Ancient ceremonial papers are transformed into contemporary art. Louise took a 35mm photo of classic red and spiked yellow with red stripe tulips and turned the negative into an emulsion transfer. That was applied to traditional Chinese ceremonial papers of the same colors. The blending of the two layers created an abstract, contemporary, and poetic interpretation of the ancient messages, as well as a nice visual. Loose and actual Chinese translations add meaning. New color combinations create twenty-first-century joy!
