This Saturday we are having a long-postponed Art Opening. Planned before the pandemic, we will have the artwork of Louise Marler on display. “KeyWords from Joshua Tree” opens this Saturday, August 7th from 2-5pm, and you are invited! Please join us!
This work harkens back to the honesty of a typewriter. All the mistakes, singular focus, and integrity fo the writer are impressed on the page. KeyWords artwork is a dialogue between the digital and analog lives about the paradigm shift we have been experiencing.
You have seen some of her work in our store since our opening, but the art show has finally arrived!
Throughout the pandemic we have been so profoundly supported by the thoughtful patronage of those who contributed to our GoFundMe campaign; those who have ordered by phone, online or regularly shopped in the store. Our store is up and running, and open to providing great books to the readers who need them. We do this every day. But we couldn’t do it without you.
On behalf of all of our booksellers, your fellow readers, authors, editors and publishers – Thank You for appreciating the value of our independent bookstore. And thank you for thoughtfully helping us to make it through this demanding and dangerous time.
We are very grateful for your support, encouragement, kindness and company.
Together through books, and art!
